KCE Youth Program

Through the support of City of Edmonton, the Kenyan Community Association in Greater Edmonton has launched a program entitled "the Kenyan Experience for Children and Youth" aimed at engaging our young people in the Kenyan community with their friends in a series of activities to enable them to "connect" with Kenyan culture and heritage, starting this summer.

The first event of the youth program is a weekend Youth Camp for ages 12-17 to be held at Camp Wohelo, Pigeon Lake (about 45 minutes south of Edmonton) from Friday afternoon September 12 up to Sunday afternoon September 14.

For more information on this camp, please click here to be redirected to the Youth Camp info page.

KCE is also working on plans for engaging children under age 12 as well as youth over age 17. Plans are underway for children's activities beginning in Fall 2007, and any youth over age 17 interested in starting a project for older youth, please contact KCE with your ideas and we'll see what we can do to support that!
